Graphic 45 Cut Out Card

I love making different types of folded cards when I found this one I didn't realize how much work there was in making it but when I finished I was thrilled in the way it has come out. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Shades of Gray

This week I really had to put my thinking cap on for the CAS (Clean and Simple) Challenge "Shades of Gray" and eventually this is what I have come up with.

I received a lovely email from the Team Leader of the CAS Challenge on Outlawz, Pryn to ask if I would like to be a Guest Designer for the month of May. I was thrilled so kept a look out for my cards for the 4 weeks of May.

Lesbster Award

Hi I have just been nominated for the Lesbster Award for my blog page. Darcy Schroader http://craftingwithdarcy.blogspot.com Thank you Darcy. Do have a look at Darcy's blog page. Darcy's is one of the Outlawz Sketch Day (Wednesday is sketch day) DT's. I fist met Darcy through Marie Gamber's Background's with Alcohol markers an online class we both participated in.

Even though I have had my blogpage up and running for about 9 year I hadn't heard of the Lesbster Award until today when Darcy nominated me.

1. How long have you been crafting?
Quite a few years now, every since I married 49 years

2. Did someone or something inspire you to start crafting?
In my early married life I lived in a very remote area of N.Z. so I starting machine sewing

3. What is your favorite type of crafting?
At present I am doing card making it is my favorite past time at present, Hand Embroidery (Silk Ribbon) comes in close second

4. Do you craft alone or in a group?
Alone.

5. What are your favorite tools or gadgets?
My Silhouette Cameo

6. Is your craft room a) Immaculate b) Somewhat messy but organized c) Disaster Zone ?
Somewhat messy but organized - the problem is I have to much to fit comfortable in my room.

7. Digi images or rubber??
Digi Images by far.

8. What kind of projects are out of your comfort zone?
Ones that I just can't think of what to do with them!!!

9. When shopping for crafty things, do you prefer online sites or actual stores?
Online sites as I live in a small country town that doesn't have any craft stores.

10. Do you have a monthly crafting budget?
No

11. Of all the bloggers you know, who has inspired you the most?
Marie Gamber, I took one of Marie's online classes and learn't so, so much.

Butterfly Sketch

This is my sketch card for this weeks challenge on Outlawz - I first cut strips and cover my cardstock where I added gold butterflies punched them with 3 different size punches - I hope you like it.

Cherry Blossom

I have created another 3D Bestie Decoupage card - I love this Japanese Bestie so cut her up and made her 3D - it does take a while to colour and put together but I love how she has come together. She will be entered in the 3D Bestie Challenge. I hope she can win.

Embossing Challenge

I made this card for the Greeting Card Challenge on Outlawz this week "Embossing" I used some embossing enamel, embossing powder and glitter on my card - the image I took into Paint Shop and cut it in half to get the effect I was wanting.

Summer Sunshine

This is an entry for this weeks Sketch Challenge on Outlawz.- I used some of Tim Holtz alcohol ink to do the background and dabbed some white paint over it to give it a different effect. I hope you like it

Green is the Colour - Page Plus Creation

I saw a beautiful card on Sherri Blady's Facebook page made all in one colour with a transparency of a Bestie I just loved how it came out so thought about on how I could do one similar and here it is

Happy Easter

I saw this beautiful Easter Card using an Easter Egg shape to show it it was lovely!! - so I have decided to make my card with the Easter Egg Shape - I hope you like it.

Daisy Challenge

I have just finished this daisy card for the Outlawz CAS challenge - I used watercolour page and my and water colour pencils I really love the effect I gol.

One of the Bestie Challenges I like to enter theme this fortnight is Yellow and Brown so I thought I'd make a small box card so here it is.

Birthday Hoot

This small card I have done for one of the Outlawz Challenges. After looking at Marie Gamber's video on colouring transparent balloons I thought I would like to have a go at this new technique so here it is - I was excited in the way it has come out. Have a look.

After visiting France in 2007 all things French I love, so when I saw this lovely French Bestie I had to have her.

Glittered Bird Card

My card was made for this weeks Sketch Challenge - I cut out my branch and bird on double sided adhesive paper on my Silhouette Portrait and used fin glitter to colour it. I then embossed a stamp image over the top and added glitter to give it a lovely shine.

3 Step Bestie Card - Stamping Sensations Challenge

I have had this partly done for ages so yesterday and today I go to and finished it. I saw this 3 step folded card on the internet and really liked the way it stood and how it folded down for posting. I hope you like it - I have enterd this lovely Bestie Card into this Months "Stamping Sensation" the Theme this month is Dies & punched my card really lends to this theme. .
